On Cloud, all domains will be <something>.atlassian.net - you can change <something> in the site settings, and keep everything (it's not moving anything, it's changing the site's name and location)

But we need to migrate the existing projects, tasks etc from JIRA to the new domain without renaming it.

Migrating projects from one Jira installation to another is a completely different story.
I would start with a look at the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant first (it can do Cloud to Cloud), then look in the marketplace for migration apps.

I do not understand the question. If you change the name of your site, there's no redirection involved.
