I have never really used my Personal Space in Confluence. Is it a wasted opportunity?

Recently, I've started using my personal space to:

  1. Take notes: I have a page with notes on how to use goals and projects (formerly Atlas). I have a page called, "Notes: Atlassian Team 24 Keynotes" others like it. Informal. Notes from courses, webinars, conferences, workshops, etc.
  2. Ideas: A few pages and a single page of running ideas for things to do. A "someday maybe" kind of page.
  3. Running log of accomplishment for the week: Sometimes I just roughly write down things I did during the week......that I can use in my weekly report. Yes, I have my "sometimes resolved Jira issues" :-) to get that...but it's a quick reminder for me of what I did.

These seem a little useful for me, but also superficial.

What other ways do you all use your personal Confluence Space?

Hi @bill.cushard welcome to the community.  In addition to what you've referenced, I will use my space to do some prototyping or testing of existing functionality if I'm having issues in my regular spaces.

Hi @bill.cushard I use mine to create pages that I plan to use as templates in my main space. This way, I can put some boilerplate text/sections and publish the page to see how it looks before then copying that into a template I create in my other space.

I also sometimes copy a page from my main space to my personal space before I make major changes to it in the main space—particularly when it involves removing text temporarily ("we're not going to go live with that new feature yet") or when I feel I might want that text again in another page or sometime down the road ("oh, we decided not to remove that feature after all"). I know there's the page history, but this way I don't need to remember what version to go back to.
