Personal Space Permissioning

I am trying to allow personal space creation for only specific groups I create. So far, it seems I can only do that for groups Atlassian created automatically (confuence-admins, confluence-users, site-admins). Is this possible? Also, how do I go about setting the permissions so only the user who created the personal space can see the space unless they change their permissions manually?

Thanks!

Hello @brad.krivelow

Regarding your question about setting up the Create Personal Space permission for specific groups, I believe you would do that from this page:

https://<yourBaseURL>/wiki/admin/permissions/global?tab=internal

Click the Edit button to edit the options there and change the settings for the specified group.

I believe the groups that are there are going to be the ones to which you have granted Product Access. If you want to add another group the the above settings page you will have to first grant that group Product Access to Confluence.

Regarding your second question it is currently not possible to set default permissions to be used when a personal space is created. There is a change request to which you can add your vote/comments:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-36726
