Perform calculations in a table within Confluence.

Antonio Moraes February 7, 2024

I need to create a table within a confluence page. The point is that this table must be possible to calculate values using formulas, as we do today in Excel.

Has anyone ever needed to do this? It's possible ?

Thanks.

Hi @Antonio Moraes ,

We can also suggest trying our Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app.

The app allows you to perform calculations and aggregation within native Confluence tables (manually created and macro generated) and provides Excel-like spreadsheets with cell formulas, filtration, conditional formatting, etc.

If you are not familiar with the app, we'll be happy to organize a live demo for you and your team. Please book an available time slot here.

Hello @Antonio Moraes - thanks for sharing your thoughts with the community!

I'd like to invite you checking out Excel-like Tables for Confluence.
With it, you can add to your confluence page a full-fledged spreadsheet with Formulas, Filters Formatting, Graphs, Pivot tables - you name it:

It also allows you to upload your current .xls files to the app, or even from existing Confluence tables, so you won't even need to start from scratch:

This allows you to combine all the features you already know from Excel and Sheets in the collaborative environment that Confluence provides, which I imagine that is what you are aiming for. Or, if you want to use your spreadsheet in Excel again, you can just download the .xls file you've created with Excel-like Tables for Confluence and use it wherever you want.

Regardless of which app you pick, please do feel welcome to reply with any other questions you may have. We'll be more than happy to help!

Wish you a great day ahead.

Cheers,
Alessandro C.

Hi @Antonio Moraes this is not a native function within Confluence.  However there are some marketplace apps that you could look into that will give you this functionality.

Hi @Antonio Moraes, you've come to the right place! Because to solve this problem, there is Inline Table Edting. With this app, you can simply close a macro around the desired table and then edit the table directly in view mode! You can use sum, min, max and all operators and formulas from Excel with Inline Table Editing.  ITE basic functions .gif
