Trying to copy a page from one space to another. When the COPY box opens, I select the space from the drop down. But when I go to select the PARENT from the drop down, it only shows RECENT parents, not ALL the parents listed on the space?  Any help?

Hi @Michael, Welcome to the community!

The issue you are experiencing is a common issue. Here’s how you can work around this limitation:

1. Use the Search Bar:

  • In the parent selection dropdown, start typing the name of the parent page you want to select. This should trigger a search that displays more results, including the parent page you're looking for.
  • If the page doesn’t appear immediately, keep typing more of the page name to narrow down the results.

2. Manually Set the Parent After Copying:

  • If the search method doesn’t work or if it’s too cumbersome, you can copy the page without setting the parent initially.
  • After copying, navigate to the newly created page and move it to the correct parent page using the Move option:
    • Open the page you just copied.
    • Click on the More Actions (three dots) menu in the top-right corner.
    • Select Move.
    • From here, you can select the desired parent page more easily, as this move dialog often has better navigation options.

3. Expand Page Tree in the Destination Space:

  • If you’re having trouble finding the correct parent page, consider expanding the page tree manually in the destination space. This might help you identify the parent page’s exact location before attempting the copy.

4. Check Permissions:

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions in the destination space to view all pages. Sometimes, pages might not appear in the dropdown if you don’t have view access to them.

5. Page URL Option (Advanced):

  • Another method is to use the page URL of the intended parent page:
    • Copy the URL of the parent page you want.
    • In the dropdown where you select the parent, paste the page ID (found at the end of the page URL) directly into the search bar to see if it pulls up the correct page.

@Michael In #2 above, you should also be able to drag and drop the page to the parent in the page tree of the new space. See https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/move-copy-and-hide-pages/
