Page Property Report filtering text, links and status

Marc Frei March 3, 2021

Hi

We are using confluence cloud and trying to get the page property report to work.

I made pages with properties title, persona, application, version, priority, status (all as simple texts).

With the page property report i can filter the values for persona, application and version (with the filter "including text" and values like "Version=V1". Filtering priority or status does not work.

In the beginning i wanted to use links and status for some properties but that did not work also.

Is there any documentation / tipps how to use the page property report with filters? Do the text filters work for properties?

Hi @Marc Frei ,

You'll need additional apps to filter Page Properties Report tables, for example, Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

You may check here how to filter, aggregate and visualize your Page Properties Report macro.

@Katerina Kovriga {Stiltsoft} Thx for your reply. Why do i need additional apps for this? The Page Properties Report is a standard component of confluence and allows to filter some values (in my example the "Version"). Is it broke and will not be fixed?

Maybe I didn't get the case then - I decided that when you collect your Page Properties Report, you have columns with statuses (Status Macros) and priority (emojis). But you don't want to show all the rows, so you need to filter your table.

Yes, that was my wish at first. But even with plain text the filters do not work properly.

An example:

My page properties:

  • Title: Hanna does this and that
  • Version: V1
  • Status: New

All values are entered as "plain text".

When i use the page properties report i can add a filter "include text". This works great for Version ("Version=V1") but does not work for status ("Status=New").

In your example I really can't see what is the difference between the two values - try to raise a support ticket for Atlassian.

Hello Marc, have you found a solution in the meantime?

Marc Frei May 24, 2021

Hi Stefan. At the moment i am working with textfilters without =. Example "Version V1". Be aware that this also searchs the textbody of the page and does not support the search for phrases.
