Page Not Found when users create personal space

Elizabeth Volini January 12, 2017

My users have the Create "Personal Space" permission.  But, do not have the "Create Space(s)" permission in our Confluence Cloud instance.

When they click on Personal Space in the top right menu, they get a "Page Not Found" error and cannot create a personal space.  The other functionality Profile, Tasks, Saved for later,Watches, Drafts, Network, and Settings works fine, they just can't get to their personal space.  Ideas?

Hi Elizabeth,

If a user has already created a personal space, the menu item will read "Personal space"

If a user has NOT already created a personal space, the menu item will read "Add personal space"

Your comment says that the menu item reads "Personal space", which means they have already created a personal space.  If you click on a link and get Page Not Found then either the page has been deleted or they don't have permissions.

So, can you confirm that:

  1. The personal space the user is trying to access does actually exist (has been created, and not deleted)?
  2. That the user has View permissions to view that personal space?
