PDF conversion with pages containing gif images failed with the error message below.

We couldn't complete your export. Exception thrown while rendering the page 'null' due to exception Failed to read image to the PDF document /data/confluence/home/temp/pdfexport-25c2e612-2fbf-4995-87b9-8ba955876411/SWSTD-446176099-021222-0653.pdf

gif images were added to the page for instructions and guides.

But It doesn't matter if the image of any gif file is fixed to random snapshot when converted to pdf.

How to resolve this this problem?

PDF export problem of single page was resolved by using layout macro.

However, exporting a PDF file that is more than two levels of pages still has the same problem.

not sure the link is correct above, and users with 8.5.7+ LTS (server) in 2024 may find the bug persists, but cloud has ongoing support and should be patched.
