Hi There
I want to truncate a text in tableview for a textarea field, so I thought I can use Override output format configuration for that by doing this: truncWithExpand(10) or trunc(10) but its not working, any idea why? is there other option?
I tried to put this in Override output format too: [entry.summary.truncWithExpand(10)] but didn't work either, please help
thanks
ok it worked if I put in the field name like this: summary.truncWithExpand(10) also output type is BLOCK
I hope that's the right answer :)
Yes, that is the correct approach
You can use virtual functions in "field name" parameter, transforming your field's value as needed
