Okta and on Prem Confluence

Gerri Urban May 29, 2015

Trying to get the configuration finished for Okta and an on Prem Confluence instance, and I have it working, However I can't figure out what I need to do to setup a non-ldap account (admin) to be able to login. I have tried to following the setup for JIRA but that doesn't seem to be working. Any body out there doing this?

OK - so sadly it looks like nobody out in the community is trying this and Atlassian is not going to assist since it is a third party app - so I guess I'm on my own to try to hack something together that works.

I am bummed.

Yes I did - you have to edit okta-config-confluence.xml, add

</md:IDPSSODescriptor> <spUsers> <username> localaccountname </username> </spUsers> </md:EntityDescriptor>

This was directly after the url for the SSO

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks!

Hey Gerri,

Didi you find an answer?  I am going to intergrate OKTA to JIRA / Confluence onpremise and have the same question as you.
