Numbered headers with tab

Hi,

I would like to number my headers. I can do that manually, but I would like a tab between the number and the header text, so that the headers are aligned.

So not:

1. My header

1.1 My sub header

But

1.     My header

1.1    My sub header

Is there a way to do this? Sorry if it is a silly question.

Hi Pieter,

I think this is not possible with plain Confluence.

Maybe you want to have a look at the app Numbered Headings

For server instances, it is free.

Hi thanks, but that one is a bit too clumsy, with enclusing everything in a Macro.

Too bad, I think Confluence is a great documentation platform, but it just needs a few extra's to make it complete.
