A month ago, I created SOPs, I am new to using confluence, but after looking at some instructions it showed that if I "uploaded" images by either using upload or drag and drop, the images would be embedded in the page. Which I understood that it would mean that I could deleted the screenshots that I had created.
Can someone from confluence give me exact instructions on how to make sure that the images are indeed saved on my document once it's published, even if I delete the images from my system.
Thank you
Hi @Iris Bradbury and welcome to the Community.
Every Confluence page has a 'attachments' page, you can access it like this:
When you open this, you will see all images (and other files) that are attached to the page.
Typically, when you drag and drop an image onto a Confluence page, it will appear on the page, and after you save (Publish/Update) the page, it will be listed on that Attachments page. But you must save (Publish/Update) the page.
If the file is not among the attachments, it will not be displayed on the page.
Then:
There's also an option to add an image from the link: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Adding-images-from-links-now-supported-in-Confluence/ba-p/2839933#M12752
