Hi,
almost every time you click on the edit button, you will be asked whether you want to convert the page to the New Editor or not.
(German)
How can I turn this off centrally? As a technical editor, I would like to change over in an orderly way and not leave this decision to the authors.
Some people have already pressed “Update page” and I had to convert it back again.
Maybe Atlassian still hasn't realized that not every Confluence Space in the world is a free wiki.
Thanks,
Volker
I do not believe you can turn this off.
This article, from way back in 2019 shows the roadmap of how they are rolling out the new editor and what phase your instances maybe in.
While I don't see the old editor going away in the near term, they have been pushing to convert us all to the new editor for 5 years. It is probably time to embrace the change.
Hi @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM,
thanks for your reply. Yes, the roadmap is old and for my sake Atlassians' need to switch us over is also strong. But we first migrated from server to cloud with thousands of pages at the end of October 2024 (so 3 weeks ago) and have not yet had 5 years to switch to the new editor. I am also already trying to convert many pages individually (sometimes even an entire space), but not every page is unproblematic. (The images alone are simply enlarged. Why?)
It would be okay if Atlassian annoyed me as an admin, but I don't think it's okay if I can't turn off this message and its options for simple users.
