Need help with assigning priority numbers to multiple items within the Page Properties Report macro which is embedded in a Table Filter macro. We have this pulling in from at least 25 different source pages containing the same Page Property macro.
We currently have a row inside the Page Property macro defined as "Priority" using a numerical system on each source page. Our issue is that each time we have to update the "Priority" number inside the source page, we then have to go through each source page sequentially to manually update the "Priority" number.
Is there a better way or plug in to be able to update the "Priority" number and will automatically update the remaining priority numbers sequentially? The "Priority" doesn't need to live within the source page. Our goal is that on the page that houses the report, that the we're able to prioritize each item, and then it automatically update the sequential priority numbers.
Please note, this is in Confluence, and we have no immediate plans to move it into JIRA.
Hello Robin,
I'm with StiltSoft. We develop Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.
You can consider the following macros included in the app:
And the third tool you can use in your case is the Handy Status macro (one of the Handy Macros app). You can add all the priorities in one status set, add these statuses to the page and change them on the fly by selecting from the dropdown menu. You can also change statuses directly in the Page Properties report and they will be updated on every page.
Please contact us, describe your use case in more details and we'll find the macro combination that works for you.
