Hi,
We are since Jan 2019 , using Jira service desk and confluence as portal to our customers.
With those nice tools, they can create issue , access our knowledge base in confluence...
Nice but we would like to have such knowledge base, service desk portal... in multi language (fr, en, it...)
Is it a existing feature of both Jira service desk and confluence ? what are your guidelines to do so
Thanks a lot for your support
Our company has released "Translations for Confluence" V5 (formerly Language Macros): https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/28648
Using this app, you can create a multilingual knowledge base and connect it to JSD. JSD users will then see the KB articles displayed in the language of their choice, which sounds like what you have in mind.
I have just published a blog post explaining this in detail: https://www.bitvoodoo.ch/blog/2020/create-a-multilingual-knowledge-base-for-jira-service-desk
Please let me know if this sounds interesting to you.
Best, Cora
P.S. Translations for Confluence is currently available for server and Data Center but we'll give our best to also create a cloud version in the future.
Hi @Nicolas Gueuning and all,
I am happy to announce that the Cloud version of Translations for Confluence is ready: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/28648
The Cloud version works with Jira Service Management as well.
We are eager to learn what you think of the app.
Best, Cora

Dear @[deleted] Hi, I have a concerned using your app. When I tested it, all fine and it works as promised but my tests included a deinstallation of your app and I had to notice that any content written is entirely lost as soon as your app is deinstalled. I did not find a way to recover the written content anywhere. Am I mistaken? Please correct me if I am wrong.
Another point I need to resolve it auto-translation with google / deepl and/or the usage of memoq to assign Translation jobs to external, any hint how this could be done ?
Kind regards, leo

Hi Leo, thanks for reaching out and testing our app.
The text you inserted in the language macros should still be available in the macros themselves. You need to edit the page to access it.
On the published page, the texts are not visible anymore after deinstalling the app. The macros show up as error messages saying "Error loading the extension".
I hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to contact our support.

Hi @Nicolas Gueuning ,
You can change the confluence pages languages. Here is one article Confluence: managing content in multiple language translations please go through the page. You need to use the add-ons for this. This may help you to translate into different languages.
his is feature does not exist on the server version, you can find the feature request here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-819?_ga=2.242552066.1002774367.1538965742-1325823066.1511343711
You would need to use this https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213698/translation-for-jira-service-desk?hosting=server&tab=overview
