Moving content between spaces

I am trying to consolidate content from one space to another.

I have moved all the pages I want to move under one page so I can just move that main page and all child pages to the new space.

When I try to do that I get an error:

"You cannot move this page to another space because you do not have permission to delete all its child pages from this space."

I am an Admin of Confluence but this space was created by an old employee who no longer works there.

How can I move these pages out?

TIA

Hello @Capps ,

Moving a page from one space to another requires that you have permissions to view and delete pages in the original space and view and add permissions in the destination space.

BTW: If the sub-page has page setting restrictions, you need to ensure that you are authorized to edit the sub-page.

More instructions:

To move a page, you need the following permissions:

  • Edit permissions on the page you're moving.
  • View permissions on the new parent page.

To move or copy a page into a different space, you also need:

  • Delete permission on the space you're moving from.
  • Create permission on the space you're moving or copying to.

If the page has restrictions, and you want to keep the page restrictions in the new location, you'll also need Restrict permission in the space you're moving to.
