I am a newer Confluence user on chrome or firefox browsers. I am unable to see the anchor or tableofcontents macro. If I type "/table" all I see is Table macro. Same for Anchor, no anchor macro found. It seems on this site that others have a full list of macros, which I can't seem to access.

I have to use /ai to add a table of contents and it tries to do so with intra-page links e.g. A header 1 "Some Header" shows up in TOC "Some Header" as "#some-header".  But, when I click on any TOC link, it does nothing, even when I save and exit edit mode, so the AI mode added a broken TOC.  I also want to do similar with Anchors and then in my document be able to click on a word which is a link to an anchor.

Please advise.

Stuart

Hi @Stuart Macdonald

This issue has been already observed apparently :  https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Table-of-Contents-Macro-Missing-From-List-of-Macros/qaq-p/2180713

The resolution was to clean your browser cache.

Thank you for your assistance. I don't have Admin rights to our corporate instance. I will ask our IT folks who are. Some users have all the macros and no such problems. I do see the macros sometimes without using our corporate VPN. But, I have disabled our corporate VPN and my newly created documents have the same missing macro issue.

Thank you @Stuart Macdonald

Have you the admin rights on your instance ?

If yes go to manage Apps, and display the System App

See if the macro Table of content has all the modules are activated

Hi @Stuart Macdonald

Can you share some screen shot on the behavior you have explained ?

It is quite wired you have some macros and not Table of Content or Anchor.

Some links in a TOC cannot work if you have several time the same header in the page.
