Migration from server to cloud installation

Harald-Eichenberg October 11, 2015

Dear Sir,

Currently I've got a Confluence Installation running on my Server. I'm thinking about a cloud installation with Atlassian. My question is: How do I get migrated the content of my current server installation to the cloud installation? Is there a quick way to do this?

The second question is: Do I get a https-connection to the cloud installation?

Thank you in advance and best regards.

Hey mate,

How do I get migrated the content of my current server installation to the cloud installation? Is there a quick way to do this?

A detailed step by step is available here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/ConfCloud/Migrate+from+Confluence+Server+to+Cloud

The second question is: Do I get a https-connection to the cloud installation?

Yes, as in here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/Cloud/Restricted+functions+in+Atlassian+Cloud+apps

Your instance will be accessible at https://<account_name>.atlassian.net, where <account_name> is a unique word you specify when signing up. Use of custom domain names is not currently supported. The <account_name> URL must be at least six characters long and only letters, numbers and hyphens (-) are valid.

Hope that helps!
