Im moving our Confluence system from a Linux system with the embedded DB and moving to a Windows Server with a AWS RDS MySql DB.
Question is Ive ran the installer and shutdown the server without running the Wizard so the DB is empty
Do i run the installer then the wizard to setup the DB then shutdown and import my home folder change cfg.xml etc
Or can i just do i DB import somehow to create the DB structure
Welcome to the Community!!
Take the XML Backup from your old confluence server and restore it to your new confluence Server
Please follow the guide here

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Pramodh. So are you saying setup the new server fully and then restore the XML.
Or run the setup wizard and import the XML and copy over my home directory?
im following this guide currently https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/migrating-confluence-between-servers-184150.html
