Meeting notes: How to manage tasks across multiple meetings?

Eric Davis September 20, 2017

Hi,

How does one populate tasks from previous Meeting Notes in a new meeting doc?

  1. Tasks are assigned at the first meeting, captured in a dedicated Meeting Notes doc.
  2. For second meeting, a new Meeting Notes doc is created (same space and page hierarchy)...

Thanks

If the notes are organized in a tree, or with a common label, one can use the "Task Report" macro to capture and display tasks on the current page.  There are switches available in the macro to further refine the search based on labels, assignee, created by, task status, etc.

Where I previously worked, we had a parent page for reoccurring meetings with two macros on it.  The first one listed the meeting note pages for each occurrence of the meeting and the second listed all the incomplete action items from that series of meetings.  For some meetings, the header page also had a "create from template" macro-generated button that quickly created a new Meeting Notes child page in that collection.

Hope this helps and if so, please click the "Accept" checkbox - Thanks!
