Master Data share to Guests across spaces

Rhys Gottwald August 29, 2024

Good morning all,

I'm an ERP consultant and we use Confluence extensively. Each implementation gets its own Space, and we provide guest access to our customers.

We'd love to add a set of Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) to each Space. The crucial part is that these QRGs need to be linked to a master set, so any updates to the master automatically propagate to all the Spaces.

I tried using the include page or excerpt macro, but it seems guest users can't view the content due to permission restrictions.

Has anyone else encountered this challenge? Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Rhys Gottwald

Look at the Space Sync for Confluence.

It allows you to sync pages among multiple Confluence spaces and sites.

In you implementation, you would have one Master space with your QRGs and push them (one way) to your individual target space every time you make an updated.

You can sync individual pages and you can choose which space gets an update. In other words, you can choose to sync 5 pages to all target spaces and one other page to 2 spaces. All up to you.

The permission issue will be solved by way of copying the actual content to the target space.
