Making a child of a different page using 'Create from Template' Macro

Drew Halbert February 28, 2018

I would like to place a "Create from Template" Macro on Page A, and have it create a new page as a child of Page B. Is this possible? I see that you can define what space the new page is created under, but I cannot find a way to specify page.

Thanks

Hi @Drew Halbert

Our Page Tree Creator adds this kind of feature to Confluence. So you can create a page tree with buttons on the created pages and configure parameters like: which template to use, which label to add, which target page to use as parent page, etc.

You can find the Page Tree Creator on the Marketplace.

There is a request for this and more features like it: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-33098

There is a workaround discussed here as well, but I have not tried it myself: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Create-from-Template-and-Specify-Parent-Page/qaq-p/290661
