Logging for notification emails in Confluence

Markus Raab July 20, 2017

Hi all,

is there any chance to look into an email logging directly within the Administrator view in Confluence?

I want to improve (reduce) the amount of notification emails in our organization, as our people get spammed too much by Confluence.

To do so I need to analyze the actual emails going out from Confluence.

Any chance to do that?

And do you have any further advices about the email spamming itself?

Confluence Server 6.2.4

No Email Storm already installed: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/confluence.extra.noemailstorm/server/overview

best

Markus

If you turn email debug logging on you can tail the atlassian-confluence.log and see when email is going out. The instructions for the elevated logging are on Mail Troubleshooting

There's no place to view email activity in the admin console; there is a queue for stuck mail and email errors in the admin console under Mail Queue.
