Load child pages in Iframe

Edward Luke Magrin September 10, 2019

Hi all,

I am looking to do the following:

I have a page called Application, and several child pages called Case #1, #2.. #N.

So far I have managed to display these in a table using a children display macro.

What im looking for is a way that, when i click on one of these links, it loads in an iframe that is placed next to it. is this possible? or do i have to load the child in a completely new window?

thanks in advance.

Hello @Edward Luke Magrin,

Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you.

This sort of requirement would need to be done using script, but this isn't possible in Confluence Cloud.

See CONFCLOUD-28464 (Option to make links target iFrame macro) which was raised in the past for this request, but closed, as we do not have plans to implement this in the near future.

You can try to load your pages using the iFrame Macro, but you wouldn't be able to target a link from outside of the frame into the iFrame. It would need to be loading from there from the start.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Regards,

Shannon
