Hi!
I want to have some control over the Labels List in our Confluence
Here https://xxxxx.atlassian.net/wiki/labels/listlabels-alphaview.action I can see the list with all the labels that are being used, but when I tap into most of them, content doesn't show up, I do see something like this;
So my question is, is there any page or reference I am missing and I can't see in this view?
Is it a recognized Confluence bug?
Greetings
Hi @Nacho Cortes ,
Behind the scenes Confluence labels are lot more complicated complex than you'd think at a first glance. We build one of the label management apps for Confluence, so I've seen a fair bit.
As for why you get labels in the labels list that do not show up when you look for pages with that labels, that could be a multitude of reasons. However, the most likely cause is the status of the content with that label. More specifically, it could be archived or draft pages. These do exist in Confluence and their labels show up in various lists, but are not displayed when searching directly.
Another thing is that labels can not only be applied to pages and blog posts, but also to attachments and I believe comments. While attachments will show up in the
xxxxx.atlassian.net/wiki/label/LABEL
overview, they will not show up when you simply type LABEL into the search.
In your case, I'd be willing to bet that it is draft/archived pages.
Hope that helps, let us know if that's the solution here.
Best regards,
Oliver
Hi @Nacho Cortes ,
Quick question: Do you have access to every page in your confluence instance? It might be that some labels are being used on pages that you don't have access to. Have you tried this with a label that you're absolutely sure of that it's being used on a page you have access to?
Cheers,
Peter

Good theory. Also try using the label in the Search bar to see if content is found.
