Links produced by Children Display in JSM Knowledge Base

Hi, our users noticed an issue with the links produced by Children Display macro in Jira Service Management's Knowledge Base. This is the present setup and situation:

1. We are using Data Center versions of Confluence and JSM.

2. We have linked a Confluence space to JSM Knowledge Base.

3. When we use Children Display macro in KB pages, the links to the children pages are not the same in the left pane (index) and the Confluence page shown to the right:

  • https://....../wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=1234

The first link keeps users in JSM KB, but the second links directs them to Confluence. What can we do to avoid this?

Alt the best

My suggestion would be to remove children display macros for the KB that is linked to JSM.

Note the difference:

  • Searching for and viewing the documentation through the portal doesn't require Confluence license and is free to all customers.
  • Navigating to the direct link present on the found pages would take customers directly to Confluence; and if they are not licensed Confluence users, they will not be able to access that page..

Let your customers find required documentation through portal search.

That should solve the issue..
