Link-window does not work with a URL that contains a query string

Mark Newell February 29, 2012

This works

{link-window:http://www.somesite.com}http://www.somesite.com{link-window}

This doesn't

{link-window:http://www.somesite.com?id=whatever}http://www.somesite.com{link-window}

I tried using the escape sequence for the ? but that didn't work either. Anyone else have this issue and know how to get around it?

Hi Mark,

For URLs which include an '=' character, which most URLs that have a query string do, you need to use the 'href=' parameter name, or Confluence thinks you are providing an unusual parameter instead of the URL. In your case, this will fix it:

{link-window:href=http://www.somesite.com?id=whatever}http://www.somesite.com{link-window}

Hope that helps!

{link-window:width=800|height=700|href=conf:User Search}User Search{link-window}

Above code is not working.

I am using space key instead of whole url.

Kindly help.
