I have a deck uploaded on my enterprise sharepoint. I am in the process of creating a confluence page. I want to link to a single slide in the above deck.  Is it possible? I want to ensure the conf page has the latest slide so don't want to insert it as an image. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Phani,

Welcome to the community. From a little searching, it appears this is possible.

Confluence simply points to an external site, and it is up to the link/Sharepoint to direct the user. The steps should be:

  1. Open your Powerpoint in Sharepoint.
  2. Open up the context (...) menu.
  3. Navigate to the appropriate slide in the preview.
  4. Click the Open in New Windows icon.
  5. Go to your browser location bar, and copy the very long address.
  6. Double check it has a  "&wdSlideID=######" snippet in the address.
  7. Use this link in your Confluence page.

I don't have a Sharepoint instance to test this on, but this looks to be the case from:

http://lmunck.com/2014/06/embed-specific-powerpoint-slide-in-sharepoint-2013-page/

and https://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/73239/link-to-specific-powerpoint-slide-in-a-library

I hope it still works with newer releases of Sharepoint.
