Hi there,
This was asked prior, but no answer given.
Solved: Legacy editor lifespan (atlassian.com)
Is there a time limit to when the Legacy Editor is removed? It has been 4 years+ since the new Editor, so concerned that the Legacy Editor will become EoL.
Due to the lost functionality of the old Editor, we still have a mix between old/new, with the bulk created (and creating) from the Legacy Editor,. When some were converted - the lost functionality i'e panel, and the formatting issues i.e section, include page, expand etc - means complete rewrite.
So anything on the foreseeable future in retiring the Legacy Editor.
HI @Wayne Jolly
I haven't seen or found any EOL on this topic.
But I think the Legacy Editor will stay active until Atlassian decides to stop using DC installations as well ant they only offer cloud.
As currently migration from server or DC will move all pages to Confluence Cloud, but they will use the legacy editor as the on-prem products don't use the new editor.
But don't quote moe on this, I don't work for Atlassian.
