Hello,
We wish to display a highly curated subset of our JIRA issues to some of our customers in a read-only fashion.
Is it possible to use the JIRA issues macro on a public confluence space in such a way that the viewer of the page can see the results of the JIRA filter, AND:
1. Be prevented from viewing other details of the cases
2. Be prevented from changing the JIRA filter
3. Be prevented from changing which fields are displayed
Is this achievable with confluence?
Daniel,
Thank you for reaching out to us! Happy to help you with this.
When you use a Jira issues macro on a page in Confluence, you have to be aware that the user viewing the macro needs to already have permissions to view the issues you are displaying.
If you want to prevent them from viewing other details about the case, then you will control those permissions in Jira. Whatever a user can see in Jira by accessing the issue directly is what they will be able to see when displayed via a Jira Issues Macro. I hope that clarifies things for you!
As for preventing them from changing the displayed fields and Jira filter, the users shouldn't be able to modify the macro itself unless they edit the page directly and edit the macro from there. Are you finding the opposite is true?
Regards,
Shannon
