Jira Issue Calendar in Confluence: "Target Start" Field Not Displaying Issues

anja_buckley February 27, 2025

Hello Atlassian Community,

I'm facing an issue with the Jira Issue Calendar in Confluence. When I set the calendar to use the "target start" field, no issues are displayed. However, when I switch to the "created" field, the issues appear.

I have checked that the "target start" field has valid values. I also verified that permissions for the Jira project and the Confluence space are correct.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Could this be a configuration issue or a bug? I would appreciate any insights or troubleshooting tips.

Thank you in advance for your help!

In my Opinion ,This could be a configuration issue or a bug. A few things to check:

1. Field Availability – Ensure the "target start" field is available and indexed in Jira.
2. Calendar Filters – Double-check if there are any filters in the calendar affecting the display.
3. **Field Type** – Confirm that "target start" is a date field, not a custom field type that might not be supported.
4. Permissions & Sync– Try re-syncing the calendar and checking if permissions allow access to the field data.

If everything seems correct, it might be a bug—consider raising a support ticket with Atlassian.
