×Hello,
I need to have a filter to see in the timeline all the Epics created by me (or a specific user) AND all the issue that have parent relationship with the epics. Also issue not created by me.
@Maria Melacarne you would need to further refine your request. You didn't mention if this is for one project or many and if there is more than one specific user involved.
Alternatively, if JQL filtering is still a challenge, you can create a Plan using a project(s) as your source data to capture everything. There is a caveat in the documentation about the number of projects in a plan. The fewer the better.
Once you have set that up then you can eliminate Epics and tasks you don't need in your plan.
Thank you. Actually I'm using Jira, with a Kanban Project. I think your considerations referred to Jira Premium with the Advanced Roadmaps feature, correct?
I'm verifying if I can upgrade to Jira Premium...

@Maria Melacarne that is correct, I am referring to the Plans menu at the top of the screen right next to the Create button.
That said, you should have the timeline feature available to you in the standard plan, You said you are working within One Project (You can only have 1 project in a timeline view) so you would be able to see all of the Epics and their tasks in the project. Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to eliminate any tasks from the timeline. You can filter the timeline view to only show the users you want to see by selecting as many Avatar bubbles as needed.
I hope that helps get you started until you can move to Premium.

Hello Maria, I have been trying to build these queries, but Cloud does not allow subqueries or nested queries in JQL at the moment. This data can be found, but by executing multiple queries
If you have Jira premium, Roadmap plans might be able to provide you with such a hierarchical view. Reference -

Welcome to the community.
As mentioned by @Upasna Bassi this is not possible by using default JQL.
There are marketplace apps that provide the functionality you are looking for
