I wanted to report a bug regarding the functionality of Jira's keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S for applying Strikethrough to text specifically in the Chrome browser.
Currently, when attempting to use the keyboard combination Ctrl+Shift+S to apply Strikethrough formatting to text within Jira, the expected behavior does not occur in Chrome browser (Version 123.0.6312.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)). However, I have confirmed that this shortcut functions correctly in Firefox and Edge browsers.
If anyone has experienced similar difficulties or if there are any insights into the resolution timeline for this issue, I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide.
I'm curious if there is any information available regarding whether a fix for this issue is planned.
This is the community place to ask questions of other users. You can report bugs here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/projects/CONFSERVER/issues
However, I just tested this in my Confluence instance with the latest version of Chrome and did not have the same problem, it worked as expected. Maybe you have a Chrome plugin that uses the same keyboard shortcut? Try it in incognito mode to bypass any plugin interference.
Thank you for your response. I've been trying to create the bug through the link you provided, and it has been literally impossible for me... I understand that certain obstacles are put in place to prevent mass bug creation, but it's discouraging to report potential issues with Atlassian's products.
On the other I tried following your advice, and the same error occurs even in incognito mode. :(
