I've tried the Page Tree Search macro, but that just takes users to the main Confluence search results after typing the whole search.
I've tried the Live Search macro, which is much better but doesn't provide any results until a whole word is typed. So a search for
Cat
isn't too bad, but a search for
Hippopotamus
suggest nothing until I type the "s".
The main Confluence search *does* have the true autocomplete. Anyone know of a way to make this work?
I did find this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-39920
The closest thing we have to a workaround is to add an asterisk as a wildcard after the first few characters:
I see you already commented on As a Confluence admin, I would like the Livesearch Macro's autocomplete to suggest results after a couple of letters. You will be notified if any progress is made on that request.
The Atlassian Marketplace has a lot of search related add-ons for Confluence, maybe one would be worth a trial.
Hi Ann - this is great. We can add that to the help text on the glossary search page. We can't add more add-ons at the moment but I'll keep them in mind for the future.
