I just recently found out that when creating articles or using your personal Confluence space, anyone in your organization can see it's contents. Is there a way for admins to set the default visibility of Confluence Personal Space to private?
Thank you!
Hello Patrick,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
When we enable the use of Personal Spaces in the instance, we do not have the option to define a default permission just for Personal Spaces. Therefore, access will be granted as defined in the Default Space Permissions for all spaces you create, including spaces and personal spaces.
What I usually suggest to be done:
- The user who owns the personal space creates restrictions for the pages that he would not like others to have access to.
He can even create a page structure of pages and child pages, because once I restrict a parent page, the child pages are restricted.
I hope this information has helped you!
Yes you should be able to change space permissions (and restrictions) and decide who to allow ability to view the content
