Is there a way to insert markers to plain text?

I want to insert marker to the plain text I get from Windows console so then I'd be able to copy such text, paste it to Confluence article and then it'd automatically interpreted as list.

[marker_sign] first element
[marker_sign] second element
[marker_sign] third element

• first element
• second element
• third element

And if there're another signs allow me to make plain formatting?

You can use the xHTML format of Confluence (or Wiki markup) to prepare the text file from which you can create page or change page body from REST API from this file contents.
