Is there a way to import live or living documents like an excel sheet that is regularly updated?

I have an excel sheet that is regularly updated that I want to import into Confluence Cloud, but I don't want to re-import it every time it's updated. Is there a way to add a consistently updated file like this? Will Confluence pick up the updates automatically?

Thanks!

Hi @Delasha Long ,

We can also suggest trying our app that is Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

You’ll have two options:

Option 1. Use the Table from CSV macro.

The macro allows you to connect csv/tsv files via urls or connect Google Spreadsheets directly to your Confluence pages. When any changes are made to the source tables, the result tables on your Confluence pages are also updated automatically.

Furthermore, you’ll be able to filter, aggregate, transform and visualize these tables right in Confluence.

Option 2. Use the Table Spreadsheet macro.

You may import your Excel file to your Confluence via this macro and continue to work with it right on the page (cell formulas, pivots, graphs, etc. are supported). If sometime later you’ll need to share this file with somebody who doesn’t have access to Confluence, you’ll be able to export this spreadsheet in the .xlsx format as well.

Maybe you’ll be interested in a live demo from our team – we’ll be happy to organize it, please book a suitable time slot here.

@Delasha Long

Our app, Polaris spreadsheet allows you to embed an existing excel files in a confluence page and directly edit it.
It offers full editing capabilities for excel files and provides an advanced view mode that allows you to use filters, scroll, and find. Please check the details.

Where is the document stored? Is it stored on a local system or in a cloud storage area like OneDrive?
