Is there a way to identify the specific task that was checked/unchecked?

I would like to build an automation that triggers when specific tasks are checked (or unchecked).  Is there a way to identify tasks when their statuses change?

Hi @Paul Rathgeb

Confluence Premium and Enterprise users can leverage built-in automation features to track task status changes and trigger actions.

The "Task status changed" trigger detects changes to task status on any page, allowing users to create rules based on specific conditions. To identify particular tasks, conditions can be applied using task content, page title, task labels, or a combination thereof. Available smart values include task description, status, assignee, page, and space.

To effectively implement automation rules, consider the following tips:

  • Use specific conditions to target particular tasks accurately.
  • Thoroughly test rules with various scenarios.
  • Monitor rule performance, especially with numerous tasks and complex conditions.

Confluence's native automation feature eliminates the need for external integrations or custom scripts, making it an accessible and efficient solution for Premium and Enterprise users.
