Is there a way to edit labels in confluence?

Pretty simple question... I just discovered how handy labels can be, but found some existing labels (already tagged to lots of docs) that could be clarified a bit. It would be nice to edit the existing label, vs. creating a new one and manually having to tag it to a several dozen existing pages, and then removing the old label.

There are a few plugins that allow you to bulk edit labels. You can do a search and replace etc. The only way to manually do it is remove the old label and add the new one and hence the label plugins are well worth the money.

Thanks for the tip.

We were looking for a bulk label manager that had restrictions, example for merging labels, so we built Label Manager for Easy Apps.

If you let all users have bulk editing access you can create as many problems as you solve. That said the point of apps are to empower users with added features, so what is the right balance is tricky.
