Is there a way to copy Spaces (Confluence) and Projects (Jira) permissions/role from one user to another user?

Hi @Raj Krishnasamy

As far as I know it's not possible.  You will have to manually copy the permissions. It would be easier if you manage the permissions via groups, but if they are individually added to different spaces and projects, it will be a pain in the ass.

Hi @Raj Krishnasamy

This isn't possible natively.

There is a feature request for it though in Jira, check out: JRACLOUD-77644

Thank you @Ste Wright and @Fabian Lim for the response.

Atlassian support team helped me in the past to copy the permissions from one group to another across all spaces.

I submitted a ticket for copying permissions from one user to another user but not responses yet. It is necessary in my case as many users were given permissions individually. I agree that it is easier if done by the groups. But that's the not the way done in the past and it would be huge undertaking if I need to migrate. I wish there is a way to restrict assigning permissions by the individual users.
