Is there a similar function like "=importrange" (from Google Sheets or Excel) within Confluence?

Joseph Lee August 27, 2024

Hello!

I was wondering if there was a function natively within Confluence (without a third party app) that can pull data from Google Sheets or Excel (much like the =importrange formula) into a cell within a Confluence page?

Ideal end goal: When other teams enter, edit, or update cells within a shared Google Sheet, it will auto show that data in my confluence page / cell

Currently, I'm using the iFrame feature and essentially pasted the Google Sheet within my Confluence page. But it looks a bit botchy and out of place.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Hi @Joseph Lee ,

I don't think that it is possible natively.

I'm aware that you are not open to 3rd party apps, but maybe for other users with similar question - we develop the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app.

Mostly it is used for filtration, aggregation, and calculations, but among other more popular macros we also provide the Table from CSV macro.

This macro can be connected to Google Sheet, and you'll be able to recreate a live updating table on your Confluence page.

Ah, thank you so very much for the response! I'll definitely check it out :)
