Is there a bulk page unwatch process for Confluence Cloud?

I found the page regarding Bulk Unwatching of Confluence Pages, but all the answers pertained to the Server version and were about deleting the data in the back end databases. So I wanted to start this new question regarding Cloud specifically. 

Since Autowatch is a setting default, (that's crazy to start with) I have new users who end up Watching dozens of pages before they realize what is happening. 

Is there a way to bulk unwatch pages in Confluence Cloud? Or can it only be done page by page in the Watching list in Settings?

Hello Kathy,

Thank you for raising this with us. It's not possible to bulk unwatch in Cloud, but we have two feature requests for this:

• CONFCLOUD-8458 Allow for unwatching multiple pages at a time
• CONFCLOUD-12314 Would like to be able to remove ALL watches with one click.

Please vote on the requests that interest you. You'll be automatically added to the list of watchers and receive updates going forward.

You may be able to use one of the add-ons on Marketplace to help you with this in the meantime, such as Bulk Action Tools by Streamline Soft. Have a look there, as there may be others that can help you with the same.

I was afraid of that. I'll vote for the feature requests. Thank you for your assistance. 

Meanwhile I have warned my users to unclick the Autowatch feature.

Any updates on ETA? (without suggesting plugins or scriptrunner)

This is an old question but it seems the question remains unanswered, so here's a possible fix.

I also receive dozens of emails from confluence. I managed to get rid of the unwanted emails so I thought I would share this work-around:

• I clicked on the Watch button (eye icon) at the top of the page on one of the confluence pages that I wanted to stop receiving emails for.
  • After having clicked the eye icon, it showed a small menu with watch options, it showed that I was watching this page via ancestors (meaning that I had previously clicked Watch on a parent page which resulted in all the child pages being watched too, which is why i was being sent constant email updates),
    so in the small menu I clicked on the 'ancestors' link.
  • I was redicted to the parent page that I was watching, and yes, at some point in the past I did choose to Watch & receive updates for that parent page without realising the hundreds of child pages that I was going to be watching, so on the parent page I clicked on the 'Watch' button again,
  • After having clicked the eye icon in the parent page, it showed the watching options again in a small popup menu below the watch button, then I un-checked the 'Watch descendents' option.
• Viola, problem solved.

I have senior executives who are negatively responding to Confluence because they are getting too many email. There needs to be an bulk remove watch immediately.  Keep in mind it is the executives who approved the use of Confluence. I'm begging this feature be added.
