In a project we do use a page as forum for questions. This has a table format, and new entries are added on top to avoid scrolling till end of the page. Disadvantage is, you can't use the auto-numbering as this changes every time new entries are added. It would be if the numbering would start from 1 at the bottom. Is this possible?
Hi @José Ferreira ,
You can use the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app for your case.
Wrap your table in the Table Filter macro, go to the Table View tab and set the required type of the row numbering. For our case it will be the Dynamic Descending one.
Now if you add new rows at the top of the table, the numeration will be set dynamically starting with the one in the bottom.
Thanks @Katerina Kovriga {Stiltsoft} - the feature looks lovely and extremely useful. However it seems not to be supported in the version we have available in our company, and not sure I would be able to convince anybody to get it. I suppose without this macro, no alternative exists, or? Any chance I am able to change source code to get the same?
Another question, is this always an "add-in" feature, or is it part of the package from a certain version of confluence onwards - only to know if I should have hope :-)
The version we have currently is Confluence 6.15.9.
Again, thank you a lot and have a nice day!

The Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app is a third-party add-on, and you get it in addition to Confluence (I mean, purchase separately on the Atlassian Marketplace), there are no such features out-of-the box.
If you don't see the Table Filter macro in the macro list, then it's not likely your company uses the app at all. If you see the macro, but can't find the Row Numbering Type settings, ask you administrator to update the app.

Thanks again :-). I don't see the macro, so this was probably not purchased yet.
I will try to think of alternative ways - may main objective is, reference from other pages to specific questions/entries made on this "forum for questions" page. I know I can use anchors - but that requires going to the page, add an anchor, and then adding the link.
I thought of using the heading format, to have a pre-populated link available, maybe with number, but then the heading format applies to the entire table row and not only to the beginning. Anyway, thanks for showing me the table filter add-on, really cool!
