Hi there! I need your help, guys.
Given: a multiple-tab draw.io diagram (40 tabs with BPMN diagrams) embedded on a "source" page. Any changes are made in this file in editing mode within Confluence.
Question: can the specific tabs from this master file be replicated on other "subordinate" pages (e.g. in read-only mode)? Whenever we apply changes to the master file on the "source" page, the diagrams on the the "subordinate" pages get updated.
Would really appreciate your advice!
Hi @Alexey Krivosar ,
Welcome to the community !!
I have tagged draw.io in the question. In case you don't get any response, you can contact the plugin vendor directly here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1210933/draw-io-diagrams-whiteboards?tab=support&hosting=cloud
Please provide them all the steps to check and reproduce.
Yes, you can use the "embed draw.io" macro and select the original diagram as the input diagram.
Then, edit the page, click the diagram and select "edit macro". In there you'll get the option to select a specific page to be displayed.

Thanks for your reply, David. Seems that I have a problem importing an already existing diagram on the Confluence page from my hard drive. I am using the "embed draw.io" macro you mentioned, but I can't figure out how I can actually get the file into the system. Could you help me with that?

Hi @David Benson _draw_io_ , would appreciate your help with my question above. I watched some tutorials on YouTube, but the problem is I don't have the Upload option in my "embed draw.io" macro. Is there a way I could add this option?

@Alexey Krivosar Allow me to step in for David. The "embed draw.io" macro can only be used, if the diagram you like to refer to is already stored on a Confluence page. You have to import the diagram from your hard drive first. Just use the regular import option via File > Import from or simply drag and drop the XML file on a blank draw.io canvas. Once the diagram is attached to a Confluence page, you can embed it on sub-pages.

Thanks @Bastian -drawio Diagrams- would the option you described work for a draw.io with multiple tabs? This is exactly my case.

@Alexey Krivosar Yes, this option works very well, as you can define, which tab you like to have visible by default once you embedded it (and if that tab contains layers, you can even configure, if there are layers you like to have invisible or visible by default).
