Is it possible to mirror a Confluence page?

I would like to mirror an existing page on a Confluence space to another space. How can I do it?

As mirroring I mean having a new page that drefer to the same contect as the original page so that when some modifications are applied on original page these are automatically showed on the mirrored page.

Duplicating the page just create a new page which has separate life from the original one and then modification are not shared...

Just put an "include" macro on the target page, and point the include at the source page.  Any edit to the source page will be reflected in the target.

It would help to know the use case you are going for. IF it is to have a page appearing in a different space or page for organizational effort, the include macros cited are perfect. Do note, however, if it is to expose a page outside a protected area, unless permissions are explicitly set on that page, permissions will be inherited from the space/page in which it resides.

Yes, it's exactly the use case you have mentioned. Thanks a lot for your help

How to change those permissions? If the include macro was used to spread some pages from a restricted space to a more open space?

No.  If a page is restricted, then the content is protected and the include macro will not display it to people who can't see the restricted page.  Because it's restricted.

Yep, but any hints how to do that - 'publish some pages into another space'?

That's not what you asked AND it's not part of the main question.  I can't read minds.

Is there a solution to create this "Include" option to share single pages with users who do not have permissions for the source Spaces?

Nic Brough Community Leader May 17, 2019

No, that would breach the security and permissions model.

Fair, but is it possible to override the inherited restrictions at a page level, in order to allow it?

Nic Brough Community Leader May 17, 2019

You need to make the source page available to the people who should be able to see it.

You could create a new black page in the new space and use the include page macro to load the content of original page into the new page.

I hope it helps.

Cheers
