Is it possible to insert a table into Confluence and have filters on the columns? I want to create a table in excel with column headers. I will fill in the columns with data and the save the Conflience page with the table. I will share the page with other users but want to allow them to filter on any column so that they can see the data they want to see.
Can this be done or will I have to import and excell sheet into Confluence?
Hi @Don DMack ,
We can suggest trying the app that we develop - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.
If you prefer to work with native Confluence tables, the Table Filter macro will suit your case.
If have an already created Excel file, you may import it via the Table Spreadsheet macro and continue to work in Confluence using all the basic Excel features (including filtration).
If you are not familiar with the app, please book a live call with the team.
Hi @Don DMack
Confluence’s native tables don’t offer column filtering, so to achieve this functionality, you’d need to import an Excel sheet or use an add-on. One great option is Elements Spreadsheet, which you can try for free. It allows you to easily import Excel sheets directly into Confluence, preserving the formatting. Even better, you can create tables and apply filters to columns based on your team’s needs. It’s a flexible, user-friendly solution.

@Don DMack The delivered tables only allow you to sort. If you would like to filter you will need to use an app from the Atlassian Marketplace. Here are a few you can check out. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=table+filter&product=confluence&hosting=cloud
