Hi,
I have a page properties table with a status field. When that field changes to a certain value, I would like to send a slack notification with the link to the page. Is that possible, if so how?
Thanks
Hi @Romain Dejean ,
Using Page Status is a great workaround for your case.
But if you need to receive notifications specifically about statuses inside the Page Properties macro, I can suggest using our Handy Macros for Confluence app.
Even though you can’t use the status change as a trigger directly, you can combine our Handy Status macro with its label synchronization feature to achieve a similar result.
With the label synchronization turned on, changing the Handy Status inside the Page Properties macro would update the label accordingly. Now, you can set up an automation to send you Slack notifications when a label is added. Every time Handy Status is changed, the label is updated, triggering the automation.
You can limit the Confluence pages your automation is keeping track of by adding Page Condition.
You can go further and create a rule per each status, so the notification would specify to which status the change was made.
And if you have multiple statuses inside your Page Properties macro, you can differentiate them by using the label prefix.
You can try this solution for free by going to the Atlassian Marketplace.
And I would be happy to demonstrate this feature in a quick demo.
Best regards,
Dmitriy
You can trigger a Slack notification based on the actual page status change, which the macro simply displays in a specific form.

Thanks @Kristian Klima
I saw that but we are trying to track the status of certain document in a page properties macro. Is there a way to watch for a change there?

Content manager displays page status data live and, if you think about it, it's in many ways a page properties tool.
But IMHO Pages Manager (a free app by Ricksoft) - which does display page status data too among other things - has better filtering options.
