Install Confluene on a Webserver?

Robert Parys October 17, 2019

Hi,

We recently bought a Confluence and Jira license.
Is it possible to run both apps on a pure Apache / Nginx webserver? We have SSH access.

Thank you in advance,
Cheers.

Hi,

Yes, you can use either Apache or Nginx as proxy for your atlassian applications (JIRA/Confluence). Please see this article for further setup on this.

Thank you for your response.
So it is only possible to use Apache / Nginx as a reverse proxy? Because we only have a webhosting contract and no real Linux server.

Cheers.

Do you mean like installing php on apache? I guess for JIRA, you can't do like that. You should install it on a linux or windows server to use it. JIRA is a application server like JBOSS.

Alright, thanks for the help anyway.
Then I'll probably try for a server.
