Inline comment won't save when the word 'remove' is highlighted.

Chris Mitchell September 5, 2017

Now this is a weird one.  No one on my team can save an inline comment when the word 'remove' is highlighted for commenting.  I created a new page, added only the word 'remove' and same thing happens: I select 'save' and receive the

"We can't add your inline comment; the section you highlighted may contain a macro or user mention. Try highlighting plain text." message.

Each and every time.

Is 'remove' considered a reserved word for inline comments?  If so, are there other reserved words?

Confluence Server v6.1.0 doesn't suffer this problem. I can inline comment the word "remove" just fine. What version of Confluence are you using?

Hi Steven! - thank you for responding:  6.3.1: it really is a head scratcher -- more of an annoyance than anything substantive.
