I want to create pages with sections and use the Include section macro to include certain sections but not all sections in the original page.
Below the parameter option named, 'Section Names,' in the 'Include Section' macro says "Comma-separated list of the names of the sections to be included. Leave blank to include all sections in the page's main column."
How do you name a section? I have tried putting a word in the section with the heading format but that does not work.
I have tried putting the name of the section outside of the section with the heading format. That also did not work.
I tried adding columns and they do not let you name them either. I'm at a loss here.
The only thing that does work is to leave it blank and then every section appears. However his is not what I want. I might as well use include page if I wanted everything.
Hi Rose,
Are you referring to the Excerpt and Excerpt Include macros? They provide the functionality you seem to be describing. The content that is to be pulled in to the other page is stored on its home page using the Excerpt macro, and then the page pulling in that information does so with the Excerpt Include macro.
Good luck!
Hello there Rose!
Could you share some screenshots of this behaviour with us? There is no need for those screenshots to contain the actual content you are trying to create. You can replicate the issue with dummy content.
Further, I tried to replicate the issue locally with the Section macro that is native to Confluence but was unable to. There is only one option, to show or not to show borders on the section.
Could you clarify if the plugin that you are using is a third-party plugin? Knowing this we could try out the plugin and figure out what might be happening!
